Oh Tori, what a sweet girl. She has no idea what's about to happen does she. Ok reader, listen up, in about 10 seconds Tori is going to meet the supposed love of her life. Between you and me, he is a total sleeze but we don’t get there for a couple more chapters. Shoot! Did I spoil it?
“Whats up?” Tori looks up and her eyes are met with Evan Rivers. Reader, you still there? This is the dude I was just talking about! Ok jeez, I’ll stop interupting.
“Hey” replies Tori. “Wanna sit down?” She gestures to an open seat at the table. Evan takes the invitation but decides he wants to sit right next to Tori. He walks over and more than gently pushes Toris bestfrined Chris out of his chair.
Guys! This is the sleeze energy I’m talking about! That is our first red flag. Can you keep another secret? Between us? Things are about to get heated between Evan and Chris.
Explanation :
Omniscient writing can be explained as all knowing. The narrator knows everything that has happened, everything that will happen and details about the characters that have not yet been revealed to the reader. In the piece above I portrayed my narrator as someone who knows all the events that are about to take place. My narrator does this in a bit of a cheeky way and slightly spoils the future for the reader without giving them all the details.
